Widow of man killed helping ducks cross road breaks silence on his death
The widow of a man killed helping a family of ducks cross the road has admitted she's been "deeply touched by the love" she's received.
Dad-of-two Casey Rivara, 41, had parked his car at the side of a road to usher a group of ducklings across the intersection in Rocklin, California on Friday evening.
He was crashed into and tragically died at the scene after a 17-year-old female driver allegedly mowed him down as his kids, Sophia and James, aged 11 and 6, sat in the car.
In a statement, his widow Angel Chow, said: "We have been deeply touched by the overwhelming love and support we've received for Casey Rivara and our family in these past few days.

A 12-year-old witness spotted the touching moment the dad successfully herded the ducks away from danger.
“He got out of the car and was shooing the ducks and everyone was clapping because he was being really nice," William Wimsatt told 3KCRA.

"My mom rolled down the window and said, 'Good job, good job,' and I said, 'Good job' to him too and then right after that, the second after that...." he said the car hit him.
William said the car seemed to come out of nowhere - with the driver unlikely to be charged, according to police.

Devastated aunt Tracey Rivara created a GoFundMe page to raise money for Casey's widow, Angel, which has already raised more than $63,000.
She paid tribute to her nephew, writing: "Casey was the kindest, most amazing husband and father. Even his last act in this world was a sign of his compassion.
"The family is trying to figure out how to recover and keep going after this immense loss.
