Emmerdale fans spotted a huge blunder as Chas and Mandy finally tracked down Paddy Dingle.

Paddy - played by Dominic Brunt - disappeared earlier in the week, as he struggles with his own emotions and feelings amid his split from Chas after she had an affair with Al. The storyline follows some tough times for the family.

Before he ran off, Paddy had a passionate night with Mandy and she is adamant she wants to start things back with him. Chas, meanwhile, is keen for him not to date anyone else for the time being, despite their split.

They found out where he was located - and rushed down to the bed and breakfast where he'd been staying, but Chas soon left as she wanted to be with Eve and wasn't sure she was the right person to speak to Paddy.

However, as she drove off and left Mandy waiting, fans were puzzled how Chas couldn't see him as Paddy appeared nearby before disappearing off, unable to face anyone for the time being and knowing they had tracked him down.

"He was practically standing in front of the car & she didn't see him!! #Emmerdale," one viewer penned, as a second added on Twitter : " #Emmerdale when Chas was driving out Paddy must've run (yea I know) across the road so how the hell she not see him."

A third shared: "How did Chas not see paddy when she was driving out he was in front of her #Emmerdale," as a fourth penned: "Good job Mandy and chas aren't in the police , paddy hardly had great hiding place at all but still not spotted at all #emmerdale."

Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw explained of the storyline: "As soon as we started discussing this story we knew that it was vital for us to get it right and that we needed to open up the conversation about male depression and suicide.

"Paddy is usually very happy-go-lucky in life, always joking and having a laugh, but what we see is that recent events have really taken their toll. Despite him being popular and having lots of friends and family around him, Paddy starts to feel increasingly lonely, isolated and overwhelmed by his feelings and this leads to him having some very dark thoughts. We've worked really closely with Samaritans and Andy's Man Club every step of the way through this story and their incredible support and insight has helped us to shape Paddy's journey into a true reflection of what thousands of men sadly go through every year."
