A heavily pregnant mum shot dead her two-year-old son before turning the gun on herself in a suspected murder-suicide.
Elizabeth Lawley, 33, from Ohio, US, and her son were found with gunshot wounds on Wednesday evening at her dad's home, according to police.
Officers were alerted after receiving reports their bodies had been discovered in a room of the house in Wallace, Idaho, at around 8.30pm.
Ms Lawley's dad had returned to his home at around 6pm and originally suspected his daughter and grandson were taking a nap in a different part of the house.
But a few hours later, he went to check up on the pair and tragically discovered the bodies of his daughter and the two-year-old boy.

Police were called to the property in Idaho (google)Sheriff Holly Lindsey said in a police statement: "Today was an extremely difficult day for the family, for our office, and for this community. And I can only imagine what the family is going through.
"Speaking honestly, in my 19 years of service for Shoshone County, I've never seen the SCSO so sombre, so devastated; we shared a lot of hugs, and we shared a lot of tears.
"Today was an extremely difficult day for the family, for our office, and for this community. And I can only imagine what the family is going through.
"The preliminary investigation indicates that Lawley likely killed her son and then killed herself.
“I may just be sleep deprived, but I can’t stop thinking about how precious life is.
“Kiss your spouse, hug your children, call your parents and your sibling(s) to check in with them-don’t take any of it for granted…not even for a minute.”
Officials managed to gain access to the house at around 8.30pm after obtaining a search warrant - with police confirming the daughter's dad was not being investigated as a suspect.
Captain Jeff Lee said the evidence at the scene suggests the incident was a murder-suicide - leaving the community in shock.
He revealed: "Not only the community, but the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office is extremely saddened and shocked at the incident.

The tragic incident comes after a mum, who was struggling with her mental health, is accused of strangling her three children and attempting to kill herself in Massachusetts, US, earlier this year.
Lindsay Clancy, 32, has been moved to Tewksbury State Hospital for further treatment after the former nurse allegedly strangled her three children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan, to death on January 24.
She then jumped out a window on the home’s second floor, and suffered a spine injury that left her paralysed, according to her lawyer.
The mum has been charged with eight counts related to her children’s deaths, including two counts of murder and three of strangulation.
