Jack Grealish has praised Erling Haaland and the relationship he has with the striker that has made Manchester City's fight to win the Premier League "much easier".

Pep Guardiola's side were confirmed as the champions for the third time in succession over the weekend. Arsenal's defeat against Nottingham Forest officially saw them handed the title, whilst they got the chance to celebrate their coronation on Sunday.

Man City defeated Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium and lifted the trophy after full-time. One man who was in the thick of the celebrations was Grealish. The winger - a two-time champion now after his previous success last term - has played a key role for City this season.

The same can also be said of Norwegian star Haaland, with Grealish hailing how close he is with the former Borussia Dortmund man.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: " We’ve got a great relationship. We come into training a lot together, we live in the same building, I’ve assisted him a few times. When you have a relationship like that off the pitch, on the pitch it makes it that much easier."

Haaland appeared to agree with Grealish's sentiment as he invaded his interview. He gatecrashed the ex-Villa man's chat before saying " I f***ing love you, you know that?"

That immediately triggered host Dave Jones into apologising for the striker's course language, before Haaland disappeared to get involved in the celebrations once again.

Grealish though was not quite finished as he reflected back on his two successes and was clear in his opinion that he was in a different place mentally. He said: " It’s different. For me personally, I feel this year especially I played much more of a part. I feel good in myself, I feel confident, I feel back to my normal self. I just feel like I’m playing much more of a part and it’s nice."

"I’d probably have to say this year’s [is better] because I just feel like I’ve played so much more of a part. I just feel back to my normal self," he added.

Both Grealish and Haaland, as well as the rest of the Man City squad, seem sure to continue their celebrations deep into the night. However, they will soon turn their attention to the fight to win an historic treble before the end of the campaign.

They at first take on fierce rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley before clashing with Italian giants Inter Milan in the Champions League final, where they could lift the trophy for the first time in their history.
