European football returned with a bang on Valentine’s Day, and next up are Chelsea and Manchester United, ready to deliver knockout blows in their respective quests for European silverware.
Wednesday’s Champions League double-header sees Chelsea go to Borussia Dortmund while Benfica meet Club Brugge in Belgium. Graham Potter needs some credit in the bank, and quickly, and cannot afford to slip-up away in Germany.
The return of the Champions League
The tie of the week however, could take place in the Europa League when Barcelona and Manchester United clash in the Nou Camp on Thursday evening. A rematch of both the 2009 and 2011 Champions League final, this tournament provides the perfect opportunity to capture European silverware off the back of disappointing recent campaigns.

In an action packed week of football, it could be easy to overlook the top-of-the-table Premier League clash taking place at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Wednesday 19:30 | Arsenal | 15/8 | vs | 11/8 | Manchester City |
A win for City would see them leapfrog the Gunners into pole position, courtesy of goal difference.
Still armed with a game in hand, Arsenal will be looking to make their home advantage tell, as a win would leave them six points clear, and favourites for the title.
The highly-anticipated showdown will take place during same evening as the Champions League last-16 stage - the same day as rivals Chelsea take on Borussia Dortmund. The game was originally due to take place on Wednesday, October 19, but due to a fixture pile-up, the teams have been forced to fit the crucial game into their schedules in midweek.
City took advantage of Arsenal’s draw with Brentford, by dispatching Aston Villa in Sunday’s fixture. That win may have come at a cost though. Erling Haaland was withdrawn at half-time against Villa with Pep Guardiola describing his injury as a “big knock”. Even without the 25 goal striker, City are still the favourites to win the match, priced at 11/8 with bet365.
