Juliet Nightingale received a heartbreaking diagnosis on Hollyoaks tonight - as she was told her cancer is terminal.
In sad scenes on tonight's E4 episode, it was confirmed to Juliet - who is played by Niamh Blackshaw - by the doctors that her Hodgkin's Lymphoma is terminal and things hadn't improved how they had hoped.
Juliet received her diagnosis in late 2022 before undergoing treatment. However, tonight she was given the diagnosis that the cancer is terminal and there are no further treatment options left for Juliet.
Alongside her girlfriend Peri, Juliet is devastated to learn she will die from the disease.

Later on, she is told her cancer has spread and because her body is so week, there's nothing they can do.

Juliet is adamant to stay positive, as she reflects on the happier times, which saw her head to Brighton with Peri, as she asks if she can leave the hospital and head home to live out the rest of her life, however long it will be.
The pair are keen to make every moment count - and she wants to be back in familiar settings with her girlfriend Peri, who moved in with her after the duo re-connected during the last few months amid the treatment.
Juliet previously admitted the emotional scenes have taken a real toll on her.
Her family and friends will be shown desperately trying to cope with what's to come (LIME PICTURES)"The hardest part of the storyline has been the emotional toll. It's so hard to leave a story at work when it reflects something so prevalent to real life, and you are doing it so consistently," she explained.
Alongside the storyline, Hollyoaks are encouraging viewers to share their own cancer stories, memories, and bereavement journeys.
"Juliet’s Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is now terminal. Over the next few weeks, you’ll see Juliet tell loved ones, live out her last days, and then she is going to die. In a way to commemorate Juliet as a character, and to do something positive, we want to come together and share stories of loved ones who may have been touched by cancer," she said in a video to promote the campaign.
Viewers can take part by sharing their videos on social media with the campaign hashtag, #OdeToMyJuliet.
