Danny Dyer's reality show has already been renewed for a second season
Danny Dyer has had his reality series Scared Of The Dark renewed following the success of the recent series.
Fans of the 45-year-old actor had been patiently waiting to see what he would do next after he threw in the towel at EastEnders to pursue new challenges.
And in a surprising move, he became the host of a hit reality series that saw a bunch of celebrities living in total darkness for days on end.
The new role proved to be a hit and now Danny will be heading back to the bunker to see if another group of stars can navigate eight days in total darkness.

It could have been really dull or fascinating and fortunately for telly bosses it was the latter and Danny was a huge part of its success.

“It’s filmed over a few weeks in the summer so it’s really easy to get in the can.
“It was a no-brainer for bosses to order another series – they just have to convince celebs to sign up."
The Mirror has contacted Channel 4 for comment.
The first series saw football legend Paul Gascoigne crowned winner as he made it through more than a week in the custom built set.

The group spent their days in the dark and were tasked with eating, sleeping, and completing tasks in which they would compete for treats.
The darkness did, however, have an impact on the stars - with Max leaving the show after six days after he found himself dwelling on the death of his Wanted bandmate Tom Parker.
The first series was filmed in an airship hanger in Cardington Airfield in September last year - when Danny was still starring on BBC soap EastEnders.

The soap favourite shocked fans when he announced he was quitting Walford at the beginning of 2022.

He said at the time: "I am leaving EastEnders. I'm very lucky, I'm very grateful.
"When you're in a job like a soap your contract comes up for renewal and every time it has they've asked me to stay, and I'm very grateful for that. Because I've seen a lot of people come and go. It's very tough.
"I always debate whether I want to sign again and I've been contemplating a while now about whether it's time to roll the dice, take the leap.
"The big news is I've decided not to renew my contract. That's all. That's not because I've fallen out with anybody, I love everybody. That job has been amazing for me. It's an important part of television.

He added: "There's no big story around it, really. Other than the fact I've decided to go off and try some other stuff.
"I'm 44 now, and I've had nine years of playing Mick and I think he needs to be rested. I'm still looking for that defining role. Maybe it is there, maybe it isn’t.”
