As soon as spring rolls in and flowers bloom I find myself sneezing a ridiculous amount. I already have a number of allergies that have me apologising to my housemates whenever they strike so a household essential for my has always been an air purifier.
For years I've been using Dyson's Hot+Cold Purifer which has kept my bedroom a sneeze free location, but it's certainly not the most affordable purifier on the market. I've been a huge fan of the temperature setting as it can keep me cool during hotter months and warm me up of a winter.
I decided to try out a more budget friendly option in the Breville 360° Light Protect Air Purifier, it currently retails at around £60 on Amazon which is hundreds less than Dyson's model.
Setting up this model was really easy, it's lightweight and I had it up and running within a minute of opening the box. Unlike Dyson's purifier it only has a small number of settings which made it easy to get to grips with.
There are three different levels you can have the fan on and I found them to all be quite noisy, I opted for having it on the quietest mode but it was still loud enough that I was quite aware of it.

I also found that it really dried out the air in the room it was used, with me getting a headache whenever I used it. This is easily fixed by upping your water intake but even with a 2 litre bottle of water I still found myself needing to sleep off my headache.
It's easy to use
It's quite smallThat said I wasn't sneezing afterwards and having shared a home office space with a constantly coughing housemate I didn't catch her cold so it does do what it promises to.
I think I'd rather stick to my Dyson Hot+Cold as it doesn't give me a headache but for those who drink lots of water this one could be a great option on a budget.
