Eight people have been killed after a car ploughed into a group of migrants outside a migrant shelter in a horror crash today - and police think it was intentional.
Multiple migrants are among the dead and harrowing images on social media show the dreadful scene with witnesses enraged and traumatised.
Eight people are dead and at least six are injured after they were struck by the vehicle while sitting on a curb and waiting at a city bus stop, police in Brownsville, Texas, said Sunday.
Police have arrested a man and are holding him in custody under 24-hour guard watch, police told reporters. He has been reported to be a Hispanic male, and a resident of Brownsville.
And tonight local media reports police have told reporters it appears the dead were intentionally run over by a motorist.

Also tonight, Brownsville police investigator Martin Sandoval has revealed a driver was arrested on charged with reckless driving, but more charges are likely to be filed.

This is the second horror to hit Texas this weekend. Yesterday, an evil gunman slaughtered eight people, including children, at the Allen Premium Outlets mall in Allen.
Valley Central reports a woman who drove by the scene saw several praying nearby, as multiple bodies lined the road and victims were piled into ambilances.
Liuetenant Sandoval said the crash happened about 8.30am Sunday at a bus stop near a shelter for migrants in the border city. It's unclear what led to the crash.

Some are moving, others are not, while distressed witnesses cry out in horror, anger and despair.
Six people are also being treated for serious and minor injuries at hospital.
The driver is being tested for alcohol and drugs and has been charged, police said. He is also being treated at a hospital.

The crash happpened outside Brownsville's Ozanam Center for migrants and homeless people.
Local media site Hoy Tamaulipas reports the crash was a hit-and-run of migrants.
Venezuelans are feared to be among the dead.
The site claims a Land Rover type vehicle driven by a Hispanic man ploughed into the migrants waiting in transportation.

A man was taken into custodyJournalist Jhorman Cruz tweeted: "These images are sent to us from Brownsville, Texas. A van took several migrants ahead of them when they were waiting at a stop for their route to go to their destinations.
"They were leaving, this Sunday, from a shelter. According to protagonists, there are Venezuelan deaths."

Journalist Ali Bradley of News Nation tweeted: "At least 7 migrants are dead and 4-6 are hurt after Brownsville Police say a man driving an suv crashed into the group waiting at the bus stop.
"A spokesperson for the police says they are investigating whether or not alcohol played a factor.
"Witnesses at the scene detained driver until police arrived. This happened near the Ozanam shelter is a homeless shelter that is helping many migrants in the area right now."
Reporter for CBSDFW Erin Jones tweeted that three of the injured are in a critical condition while four are stable.
She reported that a memorial is growing at Allen Premium Outlets store.
The FBI have not said there will be any media briefings today.
