Charles and Camilla's family plans for this evening after landmark day

Saturday morning marked a momentous occasion as King Charles III was crowned alongside his wife, Queen Camilla, in the first Coronation ceremony since his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, was crowned in 1953.

And after a busy day that included waving to the public before the ceremony, as well as receiving a poignant salute before standing on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch a scaled-down RAF flypast, the King and Queen are NOW set to enjoy a private lunch together with their family.

Following the flypast, the King and Queen retreated back inside Buckingham Palace to reflect on the day's events together.

They will now be sitting down for lunch alongside the likes of the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as well as other members of the Royal Family.

And guests from Queen Camilla's family are also expected to join the meal, including her sister and trusted confidante Annabel Elliot, her children Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes, and her grandchildren.

Immediately following the flypast on the balcony, the King and Queen will have moved to the Throne Room and the Green Drawing Room, where they will have official photographs taken by their favourite photographer Hugo Burnand.

Portraits of the couple and group shots of senior royals and those who played a part in the coronation service will be arranged before the King and Queen enjoy a cup of tea.

And once the photographs have been taken, King Charles and Queen Camilla will retire for private time with their extended family, where they will enjoy an informal lunch prepared by head royal chef Mark Flanagan.

The royals will then part ways to prepare for tomorrow's festivities, which will kick off with His Majesty hosting an early family supper at Buckingham Palace before staging a private, larger-scale reception for VIP guests ahead of the Coronation concert, which is set to begin at around 8 pm.

The concert will feature performances from the likes of Take That, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Paloma Faith, and Olly Murs.
