New York Jets new boys Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb are in agreement that Garrett Wilson reminds them of their old Green Bay Packers teammate Davante Adams.

Wide receiver Wilson established himself as a bright young star as a rookie last year, winning Offensive Rookie of the Year in the NFL, certifying his name as one of the Jets’ hotshots.

Four-time MVP Rodgers, who joined the Jets in a blockbuster trade from the Packers last month, said of Wilson on the Pat McAfee Show: "Obviously Garrett, you know, he’s a talented guy. I threw him a pass today and just kind of turned and was like, 'Wow.'

"His ability to kind of get in and out of his breaks… there's another [No.] 17 I played with for a long time who does it better than anybody. The explosiveness in and out of breaks, the 17 here, is pretty similar.”

And Cobb, who joined the Jets recently on a one-year deal, shares the same feeling as old pal Rodgers, likening Wilson to Adams, who is still regarded as one of the NFL's best wide receivers.

"Those two guys (Wilson and Aaron Rodgers) are special," Cobb said on Up and Adams. "Just watching G in practice and seeing the way he moves, he reminds me a lot of Emmanuel Sanders and Davante Adams - if you combine those two.

"I'm not saying he'll become that... but I have a lot of faith in watching him grow and he set a standard for himself this past year."

Wilson got his career off to a sensational start last year, tallying 1,103 yards and four touchdowns on 83 receptions after signing a $20.5million guaranteed contract with a mega signing on bonus having been selected at No10 in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Jets are hoping that Rodgers - a one-time Super Bowl winner - alongside his offensive team, coordinated by Nathaniel Hackett, can guide the Jets to its first Super Bowl since 1969. The New Jersey-based franchise has severely underperformed in recent decades.
