Victor Osimhen struck the all-important equaliser for Napoli in their 1-1 draw against Udinese to seal a first Serie A title in 33 years.

Osimhen has been absolutely electric for Napoli, with his strike against Udinese his 22nd league goal of the season. In the process, the Nigerian broke Samuel Eto'o's record for the most goals scored by an African player in a single Serie A season, surpassing the 21 he bagged for Inter Milan in the 2010/11 campaign.

Unsurprisingly, Osimhen's impressive season means there are a host of other clubs interested in signing him this summer, including Manchester United who recently sent scouts to watch him in action.

Osimhen himself even admitted earlier this year that he wants to play in the Premier League one day. "I'm working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League someday but as I said, it's a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well," he said.

However, when quizzed on his future by Sky Sport Italia immediately after Napoli sealed the Serie A title, Osimhen played down the rumours. "I'm thrilled with this victory. I'm happy for me, for the team and for the fans," he said.

"I can't wait to come back in Naples to embrace our fans, even though tonight I already felt the warmth of the people. I'm happy for all the Neapolitans. I scored the Scudetto goal, it's true, but anyone else could have scored it. I feel like a leader and I never give up.

"Future? Now I want to enjoy this historic moment, this is not the time to think about my future." In a separate interview with DAZN, Osimhen opened up about his three years at Napoli and hailed the impact of manager Luciano Spalletti.

"In what aspect do I feel I have improved in Serie A? I will forever be grateful to this league, to this competition," the forward said.

"As I always say, I am learning the role of a striker and with Napoli it was immediately good emotions. I feel I have improved a lot, thanks especially to [Luciano] Spalletti and his staff, they gave me confidence to be able to grow and score a lot of goals."
