Ryan Reynolds has revealed he is still nursing an "emotional hangover" following Wrexham's incredible National League title win last weekend.
The Red Dragons booked their place back in the Football League for the first time since 2008 with a 3-1 victory over Boreham Wood on April 22. Elliot Lee's strike and a Paul Mullin brace earned Wrexham the three points they needed to secure the fifth-tier title at the 15th attempt.
There was a sense of relief and joy at the Racecourse Ground as thousands of fans stormed the pitch, while Reynolds and McElhenney cut emotional figures after the game. The players and staff then decided to have a boozy night out in Wrexham to celebrate their success.
However, it was back to normality for Wrexham as they travelled to Torquay in their final National League game of the season. The Red Dragons were held to a 1-1 draw at Plainmoor as they finished on 111 points.
After the match, Reynolds tweeted: "And it's over. @TUFC1899 showed massive heart today. Still nursing an emotional hangover from an unforgettable 111-point year for @Wrexham_AFC. Next season starts now. LFG."

Meanwhile, manager Phil Parkinson admitted it has been a "special" season and it was capped off with a hard-fought point against a side fighting their best to stay in the National League.
"It is just amazing," said the Reds' boss. "I was in the Torquay area walking around and talking to all the fans. That was special, that has been so special.

There was a real buzz about the place and I just enjoyed the weekend. The job was done last week, I am going to enjoy Tuesday night celebrations and look forward to a good summer."
"We have got the draw, one thing we didn't want to do was come here and get beat two or three nil," Parkinson added. I said to the lads we have hit the record number of points, can we add to it; if not, I honestly wouldn't be majorly disappointed because the lads have had an incredible few days in terms of the release of the tension and pressure they have been playing under.
"I just wanted to come to Torquay and put in a performance which was a credit to all our supporters who came down to see us."
Wrexham are set to be busy in the summer transfer window. They were linked with a move for Gareth Bale before the former Wales international admitted he would not be coming out of retirement.
