Tomorrow marks the start of May, which should hopefully mean that the weather is going to get warmer, and we'll finally be able to start switching our jumpers for t-shirts and trousers for shorts and skirts.
But is your spring wardrobe seen as elegant, or do you have some wardrobe staples that some would find "tacky"? One elegance expert has shared four style sins that she claims could make you look common - although we don't believe there's anything wrong with that.
Antonia Higham shared a video on TikTok where she claimed that some of the items people have in their everyday wardrobe are stopping them from reaching their full "elegant" potential, including bucket hats, baggy t-shirts, and denim shorts.
And while fashion choices are subjective and no one should be judged for the clothes they choose to wear, Antonia shared her tips with those wishing to take their wardrobe to the next level.
In the video posted on her @antoniahigham account, the expert claimed we should all be throwing out denim shorts no matter how popular they are as she said in one comment that they "just look very basic and not elevated".

Instead, Antonia suggests swapping the denim out for some white high-waisted shorts.
Elsewhere in the clip, titled 'Tacky VS Elegant - Spring edition', Antonia said bucket hats - which made a huge comeback in recent years after being popular in the 90s and 00s - are tacky, and should be replaced by stylish straw hats instead.
Spring dresses were also in the firing line, with Antonia claiming corset-style floral mini dresses should be binned, and should be swapped out for long-sleeved floaty dresses that finish at the knee.
And finally, the elegance expert urged people to discard their baggy t-shirts with graphic prints on the front and said we should actually all be wearing fitted, 3/4 length sleeved round neck tops.
Speaking to her social media followers, Antonia asked in the comments: "What is the worst on this list ladies? I'm voting the bucket hats."
But her post divided opinion among other TikTok users, with many saying they would choose the "tacky" option in a heartbeat, and others agreeing with her on certain style choices.
One person said: "One's tacky is another's classy, very subjective, being classy is more a personality trait than an outfit."
As another added: "I don't know, I feel like denim shorts can be elegant if they're clean and well-made."
But someone else agreed with Antonia, stating: "I cannot stand the bucket hats."
And a fourth praised the expert as they said: "Your videos have opened my eyes to see more than half my wardrobe isn't elegant at all."
