Meghan's family spark fury with bombshells in interview as viewers 'switch off'

Meghan Markle 's family have spoken out in the tell-all interview with Channel 7 News in Australia, which left viewers "switching off" minutes in.

Sitting down for a chat with 7NEWS Spotlight, the Duchess' estranged father Thomas Markle Snr, her half-sister Samantha and her half-brother Thomas Jr have all spoken out in the bombshell interview.

Speaking to journalist Taylor Auerbach in the world exclusive segment airing today (April 30), the trio spoke about their estranged family member whom they haven't been in contact with since 2018.

Tuning into the show but quickly switching off, one viewer notified the channel on Twitter when they said: "I'm looking for credibility - please advise the public what you paid for these interviews - be transparent - or does that not come with responsible journalism - switching off now."

"I can’t believe I am watching this nasty family," added a second person before following up with: "Enough. This is killing my brain cells."

A third person also defended Meghan as the programme began to air, with them writing: "Dear Channel 7 the special attacking Meghan Markle is disgusting and unnecessary.

"There are many reasons daughters cut contact with their families, and most revolve around behaviour and harm that one should not tolerate. Grubby for you to intervene in her private choices."

Thomas made an emotional plea during the interview, with the 78 year old telling Australian channel: "I wish that we could sit down and talk. I wish we could work out our differences."

He also said: "She loved me. I’m her hero. And suddenly I was thrown out."

The Markle family speaking out in the new Australian bombshell interview comes as they try to debunk some of the claims made in the Duke and Sussex's Netflix series, which came out last year.

According to reports, the Markle's are putting out their side of the story to the public ahead of King Charles III 's Coronation on May 6.

Mirror Online previously reached out to Meghan's representatives for comment about the new interview, with them not responding.
