Bargain hunter transforms dirty white trainers in seconds with £3 ingredient
If you've got a trusty pair of shoes that you simply cannot live without, but they're white, the chances are at some point they're going to get mucky. You may think that's the end of the road for them, but it definitely doesn't have to be - all you need is patience and a £2.99 ingredient.
Gone are the days of having to replace your shoes when they get seriously wrecked - instead, you can use a product recommended by a woman who had tried and tested it.
She took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group to share her recommendation, coining the product as "your best friend."

Soaked them once with three scoops and boiling water, put them in the washer with a scoop, took them out, and used another three scoops with boiling water and scrubbed them with a toothbrush!"
As part of the post, she added a picture of the Pink Stuff laundry powder stain remover. "They've come up practically brand new, so chuffed. only £2.99 in B&M", she recommended.

People were questioning whether the trainers were the same as they looked so good after they'd been given a little TLC - and she wasn't impressed with the naysayers.
She clarified by writing: "Just to clarify! These ARE the same trainers! If you look at the mark on the far left dirty Converse the same mark is slightly still there on the far right clean one! Sick of people saying I'm lying! I wouldn't buy two new pairs of Converse to boast about a product on a FB page. Rant over."

Many thanked her for the tip, and others defended her, commenting: "When you are given free tips people be grateful and run with it, not question. If it doesn't work for you then doubt the method. No one has time, well maybe a few to share stuff that doesn't work for the likes. Accept it with gratitude."
