Ryan Reynolds has teased the idea of former Wales star Gareth Bale sensationally joining Wrexham.
The Hollywood actor has posted an image of Bale wearing a Wrexham jersey at the Racecourse Ground, fuelling speculation that the winger could come out of retirement. The former Tottenham and Real Madrid star congratulated the Welsh club for their recent promotion to League Two.
In the video, he said: "Hi Rob, just want to congratulate you on your promotion and everything you’re doing at Wrexham." After Bale sent the video, both Reynolds and Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney have both made very public attempts to laud him out of retirement.
After Reynolds saw the video, he tweeted: "Hey @GarethBale11 let’s play golf, where I totally won’t spend 4 hours trying to convince you to un-retire for one last magical season."
Bale then replied, tweeting: "Depends what course," before Reynolds tweeted the image of Bale in a Wrexham jersey on Thursday evening.

The Welsh superstar called time on his career earlier this year after spending time in the MLS with Los Angeles FC.

Bale went on to make 13 appearances LAFC and scored three goals - including a 128th-minute header in the MLS Cup final against Philadelphia Union to send the clash to a penalty shootout after a 3-3 draw.
Since officially retiring earlier this year, Bale has continued to be seen regularly at golf courses across Europe and the United States - while being at The Masters at Augusta just a few weeks ago.
