'Doomsday cult mum' Lowri Vallow's 16-year-old daughter was partially eaten by an animal - with jurors shown graphic pictures of her remains.
Angi Christensen, an FBI forensic anthropologist, told Ada County Courthouse in Boise, Idaho, US, Tylee's bones had damage "consistent with carnivore scavenging" while her pelvis suffered "sharp traumas."
Tylee Vallow's remains were sent to bone specialists for further research the jury was told as Ms Christensen showed the court grizzly pictures showing severe cuts on the side of her bone.
The anthropologist said a sharp tool with a "small surface area" caused the cuts but was unable to determine the exact tool.

"The cause of death was by homicide but I just can't pinpoint exactly what that was," she told the court.
Mrs Vallow and her husband Chad Daybell allegedly killed Tylee and her adopted brother JJ, seven, in Rexburg, Idaho in September 2019 after believing their children were Satanic "zombies" and part of a "Doomsday" scenario.

The 16-year-old's body was so burned and dismembered the coroner could only determine she died by homicide but couldn't give the exact cause.
The seven-year-old had been suffocated with a plastic bag taped over his face, according to authorities.

In addition, she also told jurors Tylee suffered thermal damage after her body was burned.

The vast majority of the time when I perform an autopsy I get an entire body and there's a process we go through. Tylee's case was different.
"Her remains were received in three separate sealed bags."
The teen's remaining organs "had severe decomposition, significant burning artefacts, they were charred and shrunken".

He also said her bones had "significant" damage from being burned.

His body was buried with the plastic bag on and that he had bruising on his arms and an abrasion to the neck.
A friend of Vallow Daybell, Melanie Gibb, told jurors that Vallow Daybell claimed some people were “light” and others were “dark,” meaning they had been possessed by evil spirits.
