Helen Flanagan apparently realised that the writing was on the wall for her engagement to footballer Scott Sinclair after an unexpected accident.

The I'm A Celeb All Stars contestant was with the former Celtic star for 13 years before their recent split, and they have three children together, Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and Charlie, one.

But a source claimed that Helen's decision to go their separate ways was affirmed after an incident involving her engagement ring.

The 32-year-old mum, who is into "all things spiritual", is said to have accidentally snapped the ring and interpreted it as a "bad omen".

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "She's into all things spiritual and had a feeling so she sought guidance from a psychic medium.

"Helen and Scott really tried to work on their relationship but ultimately she saw the ring breaking as a bad omen and one that meant she shouldn't get married."

Earlier this month, Helen was pictured wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring as she posed for a photo in Dubai - but it wasn't all that it seemed.

The 32-year-old actress was on holiday with her children and a close friend, although it was reported that she has also been spending time with Scott while away.

But after holidaymakers apparently spotted them together, the Bristol Rovers footballer is said to have flown off with Helen and the kids.

However, following the speculation, Helen has put to bed rumours that she and her ex fiancé are back together.

During her flight to Tenerife, Helen posted a photo on her Instagram Stories of her holding up a copy of Carol Vorderman's Sudoku book.

Alongside the snap, Helen captioned the post: "Love you @carolvorders", before explaining why she still wears a ring on her wedding finger.

"I always wear it as I find it a comfort as I'm used to having a rock on my finger," Helen explained.

Footballer Scott and Helen reportedly split after the mum-of-three finished filming ITV's I'm A Celebrity All Stars in South Africa.

The pair first started dating in 2009 before getting engaged in 2018 and had been due to marry next year before calling time on their romance.

It has been reported that Helen is on the lookout for love, and she is said to have signed up to celebrity dating app Raya.

It was claimed she had also signed up for Celebs Go Dating where celebrities try to find love with people who are not in the public eye.
