Former US President Donald Trump is set to publish a letter from King Charles III despite not receiving permission to do so, it is reported.

Mr Trump received the letter in 1995 when the King was the Prince of Wales and he is set to publish it in a new book released tomorrow.

The 'Letters to Trump' memoir - costing a huge $99 - will feature letters during and before Mr Turmp's term in the Oval Office.

The letter, published mere weeks before the King's historic coronation at Westminster Abbey, is believed to contain a thank you note from the King for Mr Trump offering him honorary membership to his Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida.

The Daily Telegraph reported the King thanked Mr Trump for his offer and would be interested in visiting one day.

In return, Charles is believed to have invited the businessman-turned-politician to the Prince's Foundation in London, formerly known as the Institute of Architecture.

After the Queen's passing last year, Mr Trump said the new monarch would do "very well" in his role as he has got a "great way about him".

The 76-year-old, who is once again campaigning to become America's next president, said the King has "an agenda" and a "strong view on things".

Mr Trump is also set to publish a letter from Diana, Princess of Wales sent to him in 1997, just weeks before her tragic death in Paris.

Thanking him for flowers sent on her birthday, Diana wrote: "They truly are quite magnificent, and I am deeply touched that you have thought of me in this special way."

Diana's friend, Selina Scott, once claimed the shameless self-promoter gave her “the creeps”.

She said: “He bombarded Diana with massive bouquets of flowers. She became increasingly concerned.”

Infamously, the controversial politician said in the wake of Diana;'s tragic death that he "could have" had sex with Diana, but only if she had an HIV test first in a shocking interview with Howard Stern.

Mr Stern begins by asking Mr Trump why people thought he was being "egotistical" in claiming he "could’ve gotten with Lady Di?"

"You could’ve gotten her, right? You could’ve nailed her," Stern said, to which Trump agreed, "I think I could have."

In 2000, Mr Trump said to Mr Stern: "I think she's magnificent. Lady Di was truly a woman with great beauty. I've seen her a couple of times. She was really beautiful, and people didn't realize that beautiful. She was supermodel beautiful. She had the height, she had the beauty, she had the skin, the whole thing."

Other famous names from the 150 letters include Clint Eastwood, former presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama.
