With the warmer weather approaching and brighter evenings ahead, people are looking forward to making use of their garden furniture under the sun alongside an ice-cold beverage.

After being locked up all winter and shielded from the cold weather, people will often find that their furniture is covered in mould once they've retrieved it from the shed.

Seeking advice for this particular issue, a woman took her concerns to popular Facebook group Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips, which boasts more than 626,000 members, in the hopes someone could find an inexpensive fix.

Joy Milton took her issue to fans of popular influencer Sophie Hinchcliffe - who bids her large following to cleaning hacks.

Since sharing her concerns with the group's large following, people flocked to the comment section to rave about a popular product.

In the post, the Facebook user wrote: "Black mould spots on a garden chair cushion cover. It's not removable, and it's got a yellow sponge inside.

"The label says it can't be washed in the machine. Should I risk it?" They questioned.

While there may be a selection of possible solutions to the common issue, Mrs Hinch fans were particularly in favour of one particular product - mould and mildew spray.

Taking to the comment section, one person shared their first-hand advice and suggested the product they find works best.

They said: "Spray with mould and mildew remover - should go. I was mine and put back on whilst damp."

Thankful for the advice, Joy responded: "I might try the spray and maybe sponge them off to rinse them. Thank you!"

The Facebook user assured: "My mum's can't be removed and she sprayed them and said they're fine - good luck!"

Astonish's Mould and Mildew Blaster Apple Burst can be purchased from Poundland for just £1.

Alternatively, it can be purchased from your local Asda supermarket for £1.19.
