Ryan Reynolds emotionally FaceTimed his wife Blake Lively to show her the celebrations as Wrexham were promoted to the Football League in style.
After going a goal down within the first minute, Wrexham battled back with Elliot Lee equalising in the first half before a sensational Paul Mullin double sealed an impressive 3-1 win. The result saw Wrexham confirmed as National League champions, capping the emotional journey Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been on since they bought the club back in 2021.
And the Hollywood pair were visibly overcome with emotion as the full-time whistle sounded and fans flooded the pitch. Following the full-time whistle, thousands of fans sprinted onto the pitch to celebrate with their heroes. Mullin was lifted up by a group of supporters as manager Phil Parkinson stood on a balcony and rallied the crowd.
McElhenney was red faced with tears streaking down his face as Reynolds was seen on FaceTime to his wife Lively, showing her the euphoric scenes below the owners' box as fans celebrated their return to the Football League after 15 years of waiting.
Fans eventually cleared off the pitch to allow the players to return and lift the National League trophy, but not after thousands had serenaded Mullin and Parkinson. Reynolds and McElhenney stood and watched as Ben Tozer and Luke Young lifted the trophy proudly.

It was a rollercoaster end to the season for Reynolds and McElhenney, who were joined by fellow A-Lister Paul Rudd. Having seen Notts County demolish Maidstone United 5-2 earlier in the day, they knew nothing but a win would secure the league title on Saturday.

Speaking after the game, Parkinson said: "It's emotional to be honest with you, I feel emotional. What this club's been through over 15 years and with the heartache of the play-offs last year, I'm so proud of this team today and so proud of the fans.
"To go a goal down and respond with the calmness we did I thought was outstanding. It's a massive moment for this football club from the owners all the way down to the supporters of this football club."
