Paul Burrell 'gathering strength from Queen and Diana as he shares cancer update
Paul Burrell opened up on his health on Friday's Lorraine as he shared an update on his treatment with the ITV presenter.
Speaking about his diagnosis, he said: "I didn't know when I was sat there in the clearing, I knew something was wrong but I didn't know what was wrong and when I got back, i went back to the doctors and they found out it was cancer.
"I'm sat in the jungle with cancer, the Queen has died and I'm thinking, 'Oh wow, how do I get through this?'"
Interjecting, Lorraine said: "But somehow you do," and Paul agreed: "You gather strength from somewhere. I had two angels sat on my shoulders, the Princess [Diana] and the Queen. I'm thinking, 'Are you watching?'"

He said: "I'm good. The next check-up is six months time, I'm going to live my life and live it large and be grateful for every day."
Last month, Paul admitted I'm A Celebrity "saved my life" as he explained: "I went for the medical [and] they found a raised PSA level. I went to my GP and I said to him, ‘Am I still able to do the show?’
"And he said, ‘Look, this can wait until you get back [from filming] and when you get back, we’ll continue with the investigations’.

Paul later shared: “I’m so grateful to ITV for picking me to do the jungle because without that, I would still be sat here today not knowing I had cancer growing inside of me. So my journey is a happy one.
“It's a rollercoaster of emotions and you just don’t know what’s going to happen to you next. And combining that with hormone therapy, which doesn’t help, I get hot sweats and I’m very emotional and very tired, so it's a tough experience to go through but I'm getting through it.”
