A letter containing vile racist imagery and language and sealed in plastic bag has been found on a street leaving residents “deeply saddened.”

The message contained three uses of the N word and claimed the area was a no n*****r zone.

It was found in Aberdeen, Scotland near student accommodation, making false claims about City Council policy.

The poster stated Aberdeen to be a no n*****r zone, and suggested that they wanted to see all n******s making their way to the airport.

It also stated residents should ask Aberdeen City Council about the 'no n*****r zone policy.'

Kirsty Blackman, SNP MP for Aberdeen North, called the letter "horrific."

She said “Hey. I’m on it - my team is getting back to constituents who have written to us as quickly as we can and we’re speaking to the authorities about it. Horrific.”

One local said: “The black people that live here will already feel uncomfortable knowing that these people are living amongst us, it’s not fair.”

Another said “I’m deeply saddened to see that in my city. I honestly think we are culturally regressing sometimes.”

Another local echoed this, saying “That’s disgusting, no one should have to deal with that.”

One agreed, saying: “This is disgusting. Abhorrent behaviour and mindset.”

Another local added “That is disgusting though I am unfortunately not as shocked as I would hope to be after seeing various racist leaflets circulating in the city and beyond.”

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police have been made aware of offensive material found in the Hutcheon Street area of Aberdeen.

“This has been seized and enquiries ongoing to identify those responsible.”
