The bitter fallout from Chelsea's deflating Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid continues, with Todd Boehly predictably in the firing line.

Having needed a miracle to overturn a 2-0 defeat in the first leg, the Blues lost by the same scoreline on Tuesday, as a lively Stamford Bridge wasn't enough to inspire Frank Lampard's side to a comeback. It leaves Chelsea with just seven fixtures remaining in what's been a wretched season.

The Blues are facing criticism on and off the pitch, with chairman Boehly taking much of the brunt following his £400million spending spree and sacking of two managers in Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter. Lampard was recently installed as boss until the end of the season, but his appointment has brought four successive losses and the club's worst run of form for 30 years.

Here's a round-up of the latest news from Stamford Bridge.

Drogba tears into Boehly regime

Didier Drogba claims that he no longer recognises his beloved Chelsea in a scathing take-down of Todd Boehly's ownership regime. The Blues legend, who enjoyed two spells at Stamford Bridge, was a pundit for Canal Plus covering Tuesday's defeat and went in on Boehly's wayward tenure.

Drogba fumed in quotes carries by GFFN: "I don't recognise my club. It's no longer the same club. There is a new owner and a new vision. Of course, we try to compare it with what happened during the (Roman) Abramovich era where a lot of players were brought in, but the decisions were very intelligent."

Silva takes swipe at Chelsea chiefs

A dejected Thiago Silva joined Drogba in criticising Chelsea's owners following the 2-0 loss to Real Madrid. The veteran centre-back, who in February signed a one-year contract extension with the Blues, was critical of Boehly and co's "indecision" and urged the club hierachy to "stop and put a strategy in place" or else they "could make the same mistakes" next season.

"I think the first step has been made," Silva, 38, bemoaned. "An incorrect step, but it has been made. We can't be blaming the managers if we don't take responsibility. It's a hard period for the club, with a lot of indecision. "Change of ownership, new players arriving - we had to increase the size of the changing room because it didn't fit the size of the squad."

Mudryk posts telling message

Mykhaylo Mudryk has posted a message which speaks volumes after Frank Lampard brought him on at left-back against Real Madrid. The £88.5million January signing started on the bench, despite a promising display at home to Brighton on Saturday.

It was during Saturday's match that Mudryk was reunited with former Shakhtar Donetsk manager Robert de Zerbi, who he was pleased to see after the game and was photographed greeting. Using two images on an Instagram story, the Ukrainian wonderkid said: "Nice to meet you again," with a love heart emoji.
