Wrexham have received a huge boost in the form of a £25m Welsh government grant as they look to build a new stand at the Racecourse Ground.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have poured cash into the club with National League promotion just games away, provided they get the necessary results. The Hollywood duo are looking to bolster the club's infrastructure and a new 5,500-seater stand has got the go ahead.
Initially they had an application for UK government Levelling Up Fund money rejected in January, but have now seen the council's executive board unanimously back funding the new stand, which will take the ground's capacity to 15,000 - putting it among the biggest grounds in the fourth tier of English football.
Wrexham are gearing up for life in League Two, which is just one win away following their win over Yeovil on Tuesday night. It would be the club's first promotion since 2008 but the profile of the club, which continues to rise at a rapid rate, means there would be huge expectation to challenge immediately next term.
Reynolds and McElhenney have long hailed the town's fans, who have regularly made home games sell outs. The Canadian, since taking over the Welsh side, has built an impressive relationship with the fans, who have previously sung his name as home matches.

He previously told the BBC : “It’s been brilliant. I love getting here early because I get to meet some of the locals as well, and some of the supporters who’ve been coming here for decades and decades. I met a supporter the other day whose grandfather’s ashes were scattered across this (football) field, so I look at this place a bit like a church, is what it really is.
“It’s really bore a special place in my heart and my entire family’s heart and I think across the pond as well. In Canada, where I’m from, people are obsessed with this club and this community, and so are people in United States, and it’s just been been pretty remarkable.”

Only one can gain promotion and the Welsh side's last gasp win over their rivals at home, owing to a Ben Foster penalty save, recently put them in pole position.
They face Boreham Wood in a matter of days before they conclude the season at Torquay, by which point they could already be champions.
"It's a day we've been waiting for," manager Phil Parkinson said after their latest win. "It's part one done of the week. We know what we have to do - we're four points clear and two games to go. We just need to concentrate on how we need to play against Boreham Wood."
