Festival goers will have another chance to get a place in the 2023 Glastonbury crowd as resale tickets are set to launch this week.

Three different types of tickets are scheduled to go on sale this Thursday, April 20 on SeeTickets, just three months ahead of the huge five-day event. Thousands of fans missed out during the November general sale, as nearly all 200,000 tickets sold out within minutes.

Demand is expected to be high once more as only a handful will be available to buy, tickets which have not been fully paid for within the first sale deadline have now been released back to the public. Giving desperate fans another chance.

Only a limmited amount of tickets are expected to be made available to buy, so fans have to be prepared when it comes to joining the ticket queue, selecting a ticket option and registering for the resale. The registration for the event closed this Monday, April 17 but all fans who were successful have to keep a hold of their unique code.

Amid the extra general admission tickets fans will also be able to buy coach tickets to and from the event and a wave of different accomodation tickets. Here's everything you need to know if you plan and buying 2023 Glastonbury Festival resale tickets.

The three resale dates

The upcoming resale is split into three different events; a resale for general admission and coach tickets, another sale just for general admission tickets and a third resale for accomodation bookings.

The upcoming resale this Thursday, April 20 at 6pm is for general admission and coach travel tickets - which gives festival goers admission and transport to and from the grounds. With these type of tickets types fans have to go via the coach transfers for their tickets to be valid.

Next up is the coming Sunday, April at 9am for all remaining general admission tickets, likely to be the most in demand type. All fans with this admission will have to make their own way to the festival grounds, as it does not include transport.

It's vital fans buy the right resale tickets, as if they only buy a general admission ticket but realise later they need a coach transfer included they will not be able to buy a Glastonbury coach ticket, and will have to find one separately instead.

The same goes for camping in the third resale on Thursday, April 27, caravan tickets can only be bought by those who already have a general admission ticket. Lines for this open at midday and are likely to include camping spots at Worthy View, Sticklinch caravans or one of Glastonbury's tipi sites.

Price of resale tickets confirmed

Resale tickets are expected to starts at the same £335 price as the original ones that went on sale last year, although they do rise in price depending on the destival package.

This time around, buyers have less time to complete the purchase as if not paid in full the ticket will be released back on resale, so fans should be aware to have the full amount ready to pay at once.

Festival goers will also have to pay an additional £5 booking fee per person and £9.75 postage fee per order.

Joining the 2023 Glastonbury resale queue

There's a few things worth noting before joining the online queues, as it could make the difference between getting a ticket or not.

As thousands of people are expected to join only a number of fans will be given access to the booking site at a time, despite it being a code-only sale. This will likely mean fans will have to wait before trying to buy tickets, if this happens don't click off the browser as the Glastonbury Festival website confirms "this does not mean the site has crashed".

Once through to the booking site fans will be asked to enter the registration number and registered postcode for the lead booker and, in the General Admission resale, up to 3 other individuals or 1 other individual in the Ticket + Coach option resale.

At checkout fans should ensure they have all registration codes, coach pickup location details and correct bank details (and payment addresses) at the ready. Any bookings for which the payment has not been completed within the 24 hours will be cancelled and released back up for resale, similar to how original general sale ticket have been released.

Ticket restrictions and time limits

Like any major ticket event fans are restricted to a limited number of tickets, in hopes to ease the sheer demand. The first ticket + coach resale on Thursday, April 20 is limited to two tickets per transaction.

Those looking to buy in the general admission resale on Sunday, April 23 are restriction to four tickets per transaction but buyers will have to have all four different registration codes (a code per ticket).

If you miss out - try again 24 hours later

Any tickets which aren't paid in full within 24 hours will be put back up for resale, meaning if you missed out at first you could get a third chance at getting tickets.

Fans are being urged to re-check the individual sale queues a day after each sale goes live, as a few tickets could be re-listed.

Other transfer and accomodation options

Any festival goer without a 'ticket+coach' option can buy transfers to and from the festival seperately with National Express. The providers provide regular pickups to the Worthy Farm, Pilton and Somerset areas of the grounds.

Buses leave from all over the UK and include routes to Glastonbury from Edinburgh, Leeds, Newcastle, London and Nottingham (to name a few). Looking at one of the longest routes (from Edinburgh) prices start at around £61 for a return ticket.

The same can be said for festival goers looking for accomodation to go alongside their ticket, despite sheer demand there are still B&B and hotel options available nearby in the town of Glastonbury, which can be found on Booking.com.
