Police have arrested a man following the death of a doorman at former Towie star Elliott Wright’s Costa del Sol restaurant.
Dad-of-two Jose Rafael Pisani Pardo, 55, died in hospital on Sunday evening after suffering serious injuries when he intervened in a fight at Olivia’s La Cala.
It has been claimed he had been declared brain dead and had a life support machine switched off after injuring himself in attempts to eject one of the men involved in the fracas at the Spanish restaurant.
Officers at the Civil Guard in Malaga launched in investigation with a spokesman confirming a man has been arrested.

The detention took place around 2pm today at an undisclosed destination in the province of Malaga.
As part of the investigation, Officers are said to have taken CCTV footage from Elliott’s eatery on Sunday and interviewed staff at the restaurant, too.
TOWIE star Elliott closed his restaurant for two days and shared a statement to react to the news on Olivia’s Instagram, which read: “Our hearts are broken and we have closed the restaurant today and tomorrow out of respect.

Bouncer Jose was a proud dad to two grown-up children believed to be from a previous relationship.
He married personal trainer and gym instructor, Romina Acun, in Las Vegas in November last year.
Romina described her fitness fanatic husband as the “love of my life” in an emotional social media post after they wed and posed for photos.
On Monday restaurant boss Elliott and his colleagues learned Jose had died at the Malaga Regional University Hospital, where he had been admitted into intensive care in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The results of a post-mortem believed to have taken place on Monday have not been revealed and are not expected to be officially made public but instead sent to an investigating judge heading an ongoing judicial probe into Jose’s death.

Local reports say the doorman hit his head on the corner of a table as he tried to intervene in a fracas.

One said: “The local reports talk of a group of people fighting but it was between two people.
“The doorman went down as he tried to eject one of the two men.”
Another added: “Elliott had a great relationship with the dead guy and is devastated at what’s happened."
