Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have taken aim at Barnet goalkeeper Laurie Walker after his role in the Welsh side's red card on Saturday.
The National League leaders dropped points in north London as they were held to a goalless draw, which allowed Notts County to cut the gap. Wrexham had to play the final 40 minutes with 10 men after Callum McFadzean was sent-off for kicking the opposition goalkeeper.
Replays showed, whilst the defender left a foot in, contact was minimal and McFadzean himself was shocked to see the referee dismiss him. After the stalemate Walker directed a tweet at Reynolds, asking whether he could appear in his next film after Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson had accused him of making a meal out of the situation, before deleting it.
He said: "@VancityReynolds how's my acting skills mate, think I could play a part in your next film. I think your gaffer thinks I could". Reynolds himself simply tweeted: "Oof". McElhenney meanwhile said: "I thought ‘own goals’ could only happen during the actual game" after the goalkeeper seemingly made a u-turn on his initial post.
Parkinson, who confronted the Barnet shotstopper, appeared to be dismissed at the final whistle, but lamented the referee and the goalkeeper. He said: "I'm not happy with the role that the referee played in the sending off, first of all. I mean that's a soft red card, it's his trailing leg, there's no real intent there and for me, [the referee] has got it wrong.

"I thought the goalkeeper made a meal out of it in all honesty and obviously, that influences the referee's decision. I'm frustrated for Callum because I thought he was excellent, it was his first game for a long time and he played really well."

Saturday's results, which finished with Notts County securing a 3-0 win over Woking at Meadow Lane, means there is just one point between the two promotion rivals. Wrexham hold the slender advantage, but also have a game in hand, putting them firmly in the driving seat.
The Welsh side secured a dramatic victory over their rivals just days ago with Ben Foster saving a 96th minute penalty to secure a 3-2 win at the Racecourse Ground. Wrexham can seal promotion by winning their next two games against Yeovil on Tuesday and Boreham Wood next Saturday.
