The UK is set to experience sunny spells and mild temperatures later today, in a dramatic turn following the strong gales brought on by Storm Noa, which battered Britain with top speeds of 96mph.
The storm hit the UK on Wednesday, bringing ferocious winds and heavy rainfall to mainly the south west coastal areas of England.
The Isle of Wight recorded winds with a top speed of 96.9mph, and over 260 properties in Devon and 43 in Cornwall were left without power.
The storm caused chaos across other parts of the UK, with sections of the M4 in Wales and the M48 Severn Bridge being closed due to 68mph winds.

The powerful high-speed gusts caused widespread destruction from fallen trees and debris. Several people were injured while out on the roads by trees, while one woman was hit by flying scaffolding. A tree came down onto a house in Torquay, Devon.
However, the UK is set to see temperatures soar to double figures following the brutal storm, with winds reducing heavily across most areas, apart from the coast.
The Met Office has reported that the weather should feel milder early today.

The forecaster also predicted that temperatures could reach 13C in southeastern areas, with temperatures to hit double figures in large parts of the UK.
The BBC have reported that: “Many areas will have variable cloud and scattered showers, which will fall heavy in places. It will turn drier in the south later in the afternoon and there will be spells of sunshine.
The weather is forecasted to be much drier than over the past few days (WXCharts)“Tonight will turn drier for most with clear spells, but showers will linger across central Scotland. Cloud will build across the south overnight, with rain reaching the south-west in the early hours.”
