EastEnders star drops hint about Christmas death as Suki tries to 'break free'

EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal has seemingly hinted that Nish could be the one who meets his end this Christmas.

A special flashforward episode aired earlier this year which showed that one man in the Square will die this festive period, with the six matriarchs shown standing around the body. It has not been confirmed whether the death is accidental or is a murder, but fans' speculation about who it might be has been rife as they try and work out what has happened.

Balvinder, who plays Suki on the soap, is set to find out next week just how conniving her husband Nish can be - but will he be the one to meet his end this Christmas as Suki tries to "break free"?

Speaking ahead of big scenes next week, Suki actress Balvinder shared: "She definitely wants to break free but I think currently she doesn’t know how. I think that’s ok and as an actor, that’s where the deliciousness lies.

"You want this person to break free and have the relationship and life that they deserve. Everybody deserves a happy life and if Nish decides tomorrow that he wanted to change his ways and demonstrates he’s remorseful, regretful and shows more love and compassion – he also deserves a good life! But he’s so warped in hatred."

She added: "I think he does love Suki but he loves her in the wrong way. Suki could have been like that too because she does love her children but with everything she’s done, she’s done in love and support for them but in a completely warped way."

Suki is still seeing Eve behind her husband's back - but she has teased there will be lots of "push and pulling" between her and Nish in the coming weeks and months, and could this ultimately lead to his death?

"Now, having realised the marriage she’s in and the relationship she can be in, I think something is changing in Suki. She can be just as sharp as Nish but he has a little bit more power and understanding of the game Suki plays so it’s a battle of two minds," she said.

"Both need to tread carefully – Nish if he wants to keep Suki under his wing and Suki if she wants to break through. It’s a real push and pull of these two minds but which mind will be the strongest and who will break free first? Who knows! It’s really exciting."
