The latest Fortnite update has added Attack on Titan's Jaeger's Family Basement as a new POI hidden away in Anvil Square; here's how you can find the basement for yourself.
Fortnite Update 24.20 is built around the popular anime series Attack on Titan. A trio of new Fortnite skins from the show have arrived in the game; series protagonist Eren Jaeger joins the Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass, while the fan-favourites Mikasa and Levi have appeared in the item shop. It's not only skins, a series of Eren Jaeger Quests are now also live in the game, with one focusing on the new Jaeger's Family Basement POI which has appeared in Anvil Square. It's worth making your way there as you can find a Scout Regiment Footlocker within.
The Jaeger's Family Basement is one of the series' biggest mysteries, supposedly holding information about the monstrous Titans. Eren is unable to access the basement because his home – the Shiganshina District – is taken by the Titans very early on. Now Fortnite players are able to reach the basement and find out what lies within (don't worry about spoilers though, it's very different compared to what's in the manga).
Where to find the Jaeger's Family Basement in Fortnite
In the spirit of the manga, the Jaeger's Family Basement's exact location is a mystery, all we know is that it can be found within Anvil Square. The building you're looking for is at the southeast side of Anvil Square.
Once you reach the building, you'll want to stay outside and go to the ground floor, then walk around to the east side of the building and you should see a staircase going down to a doorway. This doorway holds the Jaeger's Family Basement with all of its secrets and treasures within, ripe for the picking.

Here's the exact building in Anvil Square that the Jaeger's Family Basement resides within (Scott McCrae)Since finding the Jaeger's Family Basement is part of the Fortnite Eren Jaeger Quests, you can expect a fight upon your arrival if you decide to drop straight into Anvil Square at the start of the game. Many players will be fighting to open the basement and claim what's inside. Worry not, however, you'll still get the quest reward if you show up to the basement later on in the match after it's been thoroughly ransacked.
What's in the Jaeger' Family Basement in Fortnite
The Jaeger's Family Basement is simply just a small unassuming room. There's no special items or the secrets to the history of the world; it's just a little room. However, this is one of the guaranteed spawn locations for the Scout Regiment Footlocker, which are brand new Attack on Titan themed chests. These footlockers are guaranteed to give you at least one of the two Attack on Titan Mythic items: the ODM Gear and the Thunder Spears.

Here's what the Basement Key Back Bling looks like in-game (Scott McCrae)For visiting the Jaeger's Family Basement you'll unlock the Basement Key Back Bling. You'll be able to equip this item in your locker, and since it's a cosmetic item it has no use in game, so don't worry about trying to unlock anything. You'll also be one step closer to unlocking the Eren Jaeger Skin, which requires the completion of eight of the Eren Jaeger Quests.
