Fortnite's Lantern Fest event is a yearly event in celebration of Ramadan, with this year's event hosting some tricky puzzles for players to solve. The most recent is the Purple Lantern puzzle which is particularly obscure; thankfully, we have you covered.

The Fortnite Lantern Fest event began last month, and it will be running until Friday, April 21 in celebration of Ramadan. The Lantern Fest takes place on a community made island, which has its own set of challenges and puzzles associated with it in the game's quest menu, including completing one of the island's tricky Lantern Puzzles.

The latest Fortnite Lantern Puzzle to join the island is the Purple Lantern puzzle, which is leaving some players stumped. Luckily we've cracked the code and are here to help you out with this cryptic quest.

Fortnite Lantern Fest: island code

To actually get onto the Lantern Fest island you'll need to find the game mode in the discover menu. Now, it should be the first map listed under Epic's Picks, but if that's not the case for you, it's accessible by using the island code, which is as follows:

You can launch into a public or private version of this game mode. It doesn't particularly matter which you choose, although you may find it to be less hassle to just launch into a private game alone.

Fortnite Lantern Fest: Purple Lantern location

Once you're in the Fortnite Lantern Fest map you'll need to actually find the Purple Lantern to do the eponymous puzzle. It can be found between the Parkour Paradise and Slippery Slide locations.

You'll be able to spot it easily, due to the trees with purple coloured leaves surrounding it. It's a small purple hut with glass panels. It says 'coming soon' above the hut, but rest assured, the puzzle is available now. You'll need to walk into the hut and interact with it to be transported to the puzzle room. Assuming you're using the default controls, once the prompt appears hold the following button:

Once you're in the room you'll be sent to a playroom with five giant plush characters situated inside, and you'll be holding a giant hammer. You'll need to destroy the five characters in a specific order to complete the puzzle.

There is an NPC outside the challenge room offering hints, but they'll just direct you to look at a Twitter account, and nobody wants to do that. We've done the busy work for you, and figured out that the order you must smash these poor unsuspecting statues in is as follows:

Once you've hit them in that order you'll be transported back to the Lantern Fest map and notified that you've completed the quest. Congrats!

That's all you need to do for the Fortnite Lantern Fest Purple Lantern puzzle. You'll have until Friday, April 21 to finish it, so there's plenty of time.

While you're at it, why not go and complete some of the Fortnite Spring Breakout Event quests like commanding a Specialist Character or planting Chicken Crossing signs, before they leave the game on Tuesday, April 11.
