We've all had acne breakouts after snacking a bit too freely on junk food and with all the Easter eggs gobbled up and empty hot cross bun packets filling the bins, your skin might be looking a little worse for wear.
Sugar can cause breakouts, skin sagging and an overall dullness to your usually bright, bouncy skin but that doesn't mean you need to put away the leftover Easter eggs.
Wonder ingredient Vitamin C has been one of the biggest sellers in beauty this for the past few years, with companies promising glowing skin.
It could also be the answer to the post-Easter slum your skin is going through thanks to all that chocolate.

Don't deny yourself that last bite of Easter egg (Getty Images)Skincare fanatics will have probably seen Vitamin C touted as a wonder product as it is said to help signs of ageing, improve wrinkles and dark spots and ease acne inflammations.
If you're not already converted to this must-have product, Easter could be the time to embrace it.
Kimberley Medd, clinic lead at Face the Future, said: "Whilst you should allow yourself to indulge in treats from time to time, be aware that this increase in sugar can wreak havoc with our skin.
"Sugar's oxidative properties breaks down collagen and elastin – the proteins that give your skin shape, structure, and firmness. When this happens, skin can start to look lined, saggy, dry, and lacklustre.
"Excess sugar consumption can increase the risk of acne breakouts, so limit your intake where you can."
The spike in sugar in your body can cause an inflammatory response that sparks production of excess sebum, which ultimately can lead to acne breakouts.
Getting these under control isn't the easiest task but if you suspect sugar is the cause of your breakout, Kimberley suggests cutting back on sugary foods immediately.
Sugar can send your skin into overdrive, causing breakouts (Getty Images)She said: "For sugar-based breakouts, try to lower your intake of sugary foods and eating foods which are lower on the glycemic index. Cutting out sugar where possible will create a noticeable difference to your skin's appearance in as little as a week, although truer results will take 3 months.
"If you really can't stay away from your favourite sweet treats, make sure you are using Vitamin C in your skincare routine to keep your complexion bright, clear and protected against aggressors."
Vitamin C is the perfect antidote to your sugary skin issues as it is a well known antioxidant and can fight against acne from the outside in, while you get on top of your diet.

Kimberley added that it is "a key player" for skin concerns often seen after overdosing on chocolate, particularly targeting dark spots, fine lines, collagen-breakdown, and dullness.
The skincare expert concluded: "Vitamin C is vital for collagen stimulation, which needs building back up after a lot of sugar is consumed. Just getting rid of sugar and adding Vitamin C isn't the answer to great skin.
"A mixture of genetics, a good skincare routine, environmental and lifestyle factors all contribute to the overall appearance of the skin."
