Fortnite's Spring Breakout Event is still ongoing and is allowing players to grab a litany of rewards including XP, new cosmetics, and a terrifying loading screen.

Fortnite’s brand new Spring Breakout event in celebration of Easter launched this month alongside Fortnite Update 24.10. As the first major update of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, Spring Breakout has made quite a splash already with some new skins, weapons, and mechanics added specifically for the event. We've got a full list of quests and rewards – including guides for some of the trickier quests – below, so be sure to check those out if you want to see everything the Fortnite Spring Breakout Event has to offer.

These quests are being updated daily until April 11, 2023, with some days (Day 1, 7, 9, and 12) giving you special cosmetics in exchange for completing them. There’s also a selection of Spring Breakout challenges which are far less involved, but completing them counts towards unlocking the Nannerbloom Hammer Pickaxe and Fresh Flyer Glider.

Fortnite Spring Breakout Quests

Fortnite Spring Breakout quests update daily at 2pm BST / 9am EDT / 6am PDT. These quests will offer the usual XP as well as some special cosmetic items for completing specific day quests. For this mission, you’ll simply have to walk up to three of the cherry blossom trees around the map. Luckily the five locations where you can find cherry blossoms are marked on the map when you look at the quest in-game, and they are as follows:

The fastest way to get this quest done would be to land at Shattered Slabs, move up to The Citadel, and then head towards Anvil Square. These three locations are fairly close to each other so you could get the quest done in one match easily. Don’t worry though, you can do it over multiple matches, so if you just wanted to land at each location over the course of three matches that’s a valid option too.

Where to find eggs in Fortnite

Gathering eggs in Fortnite is a new aspect of the game, but it's something you'll need to do for a few of these Spring Breakout quests. Basically, you’ll spot chickens roaming around the map, and they now come in snazzy new green and purple varieties. Chase them around a bit and they’ll eventually drop eggs. Blue eggs are Hop Eggs and green ones are Heal Eggs, and occasionally one of these chickens will drop a Golden Egg.

Interacting with these eggs will give you the following temporary benefits:

Chickens don’t give up on laying eggs, so you could chase the same one around to get as many eggs as you need. We recommend hanging out to the west of Anvil Square as there are typically a few chickens hanging out there. Chase them about and grab their eggs to complete the Day 2 quest and get 20k XP.

    Fortnite Specialist Characters

The other new feature required for Spring Breakout quests are the Specialist Characters that you can hire for 250 bars. There are eight of these scattered around the map and they are split into the following four categories:

    Fortnite Egg Launcher

Making it's return to the game after showing up in previous Easter-themed events is the Egg Launcher. This weapon works like a grenade launcher, but with exploding eggs instead of grenades. They require a bit of skill to use efficiently, as these eggs will bounce rather than exploding on impact, but they have the potential to cause some serious damage.

There isn't a set location for this weapon to appear on the map. Instead it'll appear in the chests and throughout the map like any other weapon.

    Spring Breakout Quest rewards

You can unlock five Fortnite Spring Breakout Quests rewards as you hit the prerequisites, as well as earning XP along the way.

    Fortnite Spring Breakout Challenges

The Spring Breakout quests will last until April 11, 2023, so you have plenty of time to get through them. If you miss a day, you can still complete a challenge, so long as you do it before the event ends. Good luck!
