A video showing the reconstruction of Gwyneth Paltrow and Terry Sanderson's ski crash was played in court before the actress won the highly-publicised trial.

Sanderson had accused Paltrow of skiing "out of control" and hitting him at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, in 2016.

He claimed the "full body hit" left him with a permanent traumatic brain injury which robbed him of "his enjoyment for life".

However, a judge ruled in favour of Paltrow and awarded her compensatory damages of one dollar.

The trial saw testimonies from Paltrow, Sanderson, family members and expert witnesses, with jurors also shown a video by Paltrow's lawyers which recreated her version of the collison.

During day five of the civil trial, the defence played the video while witness Eric Christiansen, a Deer Valley Resort ski instructor hired by Paltrow, testified to his recollection of the incident.

Christiansen was one of the first people to arrive on scene after the collision.

In a screengrab from the video, Paltrow can be seen skiing slightly in front of Sanderson.

A second recreation was shown in court the following day as biomechanical engineering expert Irving Scher took to the stand.

Scher said that Paltrow's version of events was "consistent with the laws of physics" and disputed evidence from previous witnesses, claiming their analysis had been miscalculated and he could not get other scenarios "to work".

"Ms Paltrow's version of events is consistent with the laws of physics in how people turn and rotate," he said.

He added: "Dr Boehne cannot say with any accuracy that Ms Paltrow landed on Mr Sanderson. His calculations are wrong."

Judge Kent Holmberg had told the jury that both recreations are not evidence and are to be taken merely as tools for experts hired by Paltrow.

After winning the trial. Paltrow said she was "pleased with the outcome".

Taking to Instagram to share a statement, she said: "I felt that acquiescing to a false claim compromised my integrity.
