A mother has pleaded not guilty to murdering her two young sons.

Brothers Marley Thomas, five, and Elijah Thomas, two, were found dead at their home in Dagenham, Essex, in December.

A court heard the two were last seen alive on the afternoon of December 15, before their father called police the following day with concerns for their welfare.

He forced entry to the house, finding the boys inside.

Ambulance crews attended but both children were tragically pronounced dead.
