Fortnite will be undergoing maintenance today ahead of update 24.10, the first major update since Fortnite Creative 2.0 was introduced.

Fortnite update 24.10 will go live today at 9am BST / 4am EDT / 1 am PDT across all platforms, Epic Games confirmed via a tweet from their @FortniteStatus Twitter account last night. Matchmaking and servers will go offline 30 minutes beforehand, so realistically, players won't be able to jump into a fresh Fortnite game from around 8.30am BST / 3.30am EDT / 12.30am PDT.

Downtime can last up to four hours, so we're expecting Fortnite servers to come back online by around 1pm BST / 8am EDT / 5am PDT at the latest. The download for the update should happen during the downtime, so you'll be back on your Fortnite Nitro Drifter in no time! But, if it doesn't, you can always go and press the update button manually to start the download.

Update 24.10 will be the first update to hit Fortnite since the release of Fortnite Creative 2.0 and UEFN last week, which was finally launched after a series of delays. The free dedicated program will allow players to create custom experiences, maps and game modes for the battle royale title using the power of Unreal Engine 5, players will even be able to recreate classic Fortnite maps if they really want to! There could even be some updates to Fortnite Creative 2.0 in the 24.10 patch notes later today

The last patch for the battle royale title was back on Monday, March 20; although Fortnite update 24.01 didn't come with any particular patch notes. Although, Epic did later confirm via its @FortniteStatus Twitter account that the update included a fix for 120fps and split screen on Xbox Series S. Here's what we can expect for Fortnite update 24.10.
