A woman has been arrested for allegedly murdering her husband live on Facebook while streaming to her friends and family.

Suspect Kadejah Michelle Brown, 28, was taken into custody after she allegedly shot her husband Jeremy Roc Brown at their home in Lowndes County, Mississippi, US, on the morning of Saturday March 25.

The authorities said Brown live-streamed the moment she killed the 28-year-old victim, who died from a single gunshot wound.

It appeared that Brown and her husband were involved in an argument that turned physical, police said.

The woman apparently confronted the victim as he tried to leave the home - all the while streaming the argument to friends and family on Facebook.

Although the camera was pointed towards the ceiling at the time, the couple can be heard arguing in the background when a gunshot can be heard.

What follows is at least two women screaming for about one minute.

Then, a child can be heard crying, with one of the women apparently running around the home and shouting for help before the footage suddenly cuts.

The emergency services later arrived and pronounced Jeremy dead at the scene.

Brown was reportedly arrested without incident and taken to the Lowndes County Adult Detention Centre, with no bond currently set.

Sheriff Eddie Hawkins confirmed that the pair were married and said: “The phone had been thrown down, and then you heard the shot.”

A 9mm handgun was recovered at the scene along with other physical evidence, according to the police.

Hawkins continued: "There was a history of domestic violence between Brown and the victim.

"This was a tragic and senseless murder and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victim.

"Fortunately, Brown is in custody and we look forward to the criminal justice system holding her accountable."

The investigation is ongoing.

Athough Livestreaming was meant to add a new way for people to connect online, it has been used as a way to share shocking incidents or violence and harm.

In September 2022 thre people were killed and four wounded after a teenage gunman went on a shooting spree in Memphis, Tennessee, and posted footage of one of his attacks on Facebook.

Ezekiel Kelly, just 19 at the time, was arrested and later indicted on 28 charges.

In a recording of the Facebook livestream, Kelly could be seen getting out of a car and walking a few steps into the store before allegedly firing a gun twice at a man inside the shop.

Kelly rants to the camera about “no faking, this s–t for real,” as he recorded the livestream of events.

Police chief Cerelyn 'C.J.' Davis, said in the aftermath of the shooting: "This has been a horrific week for the city of Memphis.”
