Katie Price says cops' alleged trolling over Harvey 'took her breath away'

Katie Price has claimed how the WhatsApp group messages of police allegedly mocking her son Harvey "took her breath away".

The TV star and former model has been open about her fury after learning eight policemen face a gross misconduct inquiry. They are accused of using a WhatsApp group to exchange jibes about Harvey, who has severe disabilities.

Speaking on The Jeremy Vine Show today on Channel 5, Katie recalled how she was hand delivered a letter about the misconduct as she discussed the truly "shocking" messages, that were alleged to contain inappropriate and discriminatory images of Harvey.

She recalled: "I was at home and a police car came up the drive and I was like, oh my gosh what happened? I know I'd done nothing wrong. And so I got my friend to answer the door and they said, 'Look we've got a letter and we have to give it to Katie.'

"So I was like, oh this is serious, so I went downstairs and said, why does this have to be given to me, have I done something wrong? And they said, no you've done nothing. I opened it and he'd come down from London to hand deliver it."

The letter was from a PC investigator, who said "a number of Metropolitan Police were said to have breached their standards, they shared inappropriate and discriminatory images of your son Harvey."

Katie said she doesn't get shocked much, but was surprised to see what they had allegedly been saying.

"I don't get shocked much because I'm so used to him being trolled but what they have done, it took my breath away. It's disgusting. And two of them are sergeants as well," she said, before revealing the case had been adjourned until April.

She insisted: "Guess what, I'm going to turn up to the court and I'm going to go with Harvey because I think they need to see Harvey. They will be so disgusted, because when you meet Harvey, he's so vulnerable. I don't understand why people want to pick on him. He's got me to protect him because he doesn't know and he doesn't understand."

Katie previously told The Sunday Mirror about how she felt "betrayed" over the alleged messages.

"These are the people who are supposed to be protecting us, people we are supposed to trust. It’s pure betrayal. I was in shock at first, then I felt sick, heartbroken and angry," she said.
