Arsenal are in prime position to end their near two-decade wait for a Premier League title following another big victory at the weekend.

The Gunners batted aside London rivals Crystal Palace 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium - Bukayo Saka scoring twice, whilst Gabriel Martinelli and Granit Xhaka also managed to get on the scoresheet. Victory over Palace moved Arsenal eight points clear at the top of the table ahead of Manchester City.

Whilst domestic action is now set to take a pause over the next few weeks due to the international fixtures, that does not mean that there isn’t plenty going on over at the Emirates. With that being said, take a look at the standout headlines from North London below:

Jesus issues title verdict

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has suggested that the Gunners are now in the “best part of the season” as Mikel Arteta’s men attempt to secure the title.

The North London side have a further ten games to go once they return from the international break. Speaking after a brief cameo against Palace as he stepped up his return from injury, the Brazilian said: “Now is, I think in my opinion, the best part of the season.

Martinelli makes declaration over Gunners future

Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli admitted that he will “never get tired” of playing for the Gunners after a roller coaster week. The Brazilian shone for the north London side as they beat Crystal Palace by opening the scoring with his 13th league goal of the campaign.

“I’ll never get tired of playing for this badge,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a heart and fist emoji. A goal and victory against Palace rounded off a week of contrasting emotions for Martinelli.

The former Ituano forward is under contract until the summer of 2027 after putting pen to paper on a new deal last month.

Arteta eyes Liverpool target

Arsenal have identified Galatasaray starlet Sacha Boey as a key summer target as Mikel Arteta attempts to beat Liverpool to the defender’s signature, it has been claimed.

According to Turkish outlet Aksam, the French right-back Boey is at the top of the list of potential summer arrivals. The north London side have Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu capable of playing in the position but it is thought that the young Frenchman, 22, could provide more competition.
