A plate of freshly made pasta is one of life's greatest culinary pleasures, but this of course all depends on the chef. Now one foodie has shared her go-to hack for "fresh pasta", and it's unlike anything you'll have seen in a recipe book. Typically, a batch of fresh pasta can be whipped up using beaten eggs and plenty of soft flour, expertly kneaded into a dough, rolled, and cut into the shape of your choosing.
For this alternative recipe, however, which has been shared on TikTok, the food lover kicked things off by cheerfully tipping a packet of dried spaghetti into her blender, much to the alarm of various "screaming" Italians.
Breaking up the spaghetti so it fitted better in the blender, the home cook, who goes by the TikTok username @foodsfuns3, noted that you can "put any kind of pasta into your blender".
She then whacked the kitchen gadget on, blending the spaghetti into a fine powder, before pouring it all out onto her table in a sandy-coloured mound.
Creating a little well in the centre using a wooden spoon, she explained: "We're making fresh pasta, out of pasta." After cracking an egg into the small well, she then mixed it all up, pressing everything together to make a substance that was beginning to resemble dough.

She ground the dried pasta into a fine powder, much to the alarm of many followers (Getty Images/iStockphoto)The creative chef then rolled the dough into a "perfect ball", pummelling this with her palms and fish to flatten it, before going over it with a rolling pin coated with "a little bit of pasta flour".
Once it was completely rolled out, she cut the dough into strips of fettuccine, advising followers that they could really go for any shape they fancied and that there are "no rules for making pasta this way".
After boiling the pasta for around seven minutes, she topped it with a jar of ready-made tomato sauce, which she'd heated on the hob and stirred through with oregano, before sprinkling a bit of mozzarella on top.
Upon giving the dish a taste for herself, the foodie was impressed by the "perfect" soft consistency of the pasta, which she claims "tastes exactly like fresh pasta".
Not everyone in the comments section was too sure, however, with one alarmed person declaring they were "screaming in Italian".
Another commented: "I'm not okay with what happened here."
A third individual shuddered: "Italy called. You're under arrest."
A fourth wrote: "I can hear the Italians screaming".
