A man has been charged after an 85-year-old woman was killed in a terrifying dog attack.
Great-gran Lucille Downer was in her own back garden in Rowley Regis, West Midlands, when she was mauled by the two dogs in April 2021.
The two pitbull type dogs are believed to have got in through a hole in the fence.
Although a family member and neighbours rushed to her aid, she was confirmed dead at the scene soon afterwards.
In a heartbreaking statement, at the time of her death, her family said: "Lucille was a mother, grandmother and great- grandmother who spent her working years as a cook at Bromford House Care Home in West Bromwich.

People left flowers for Lucille (SWNS)"Lucille was born in Jamaica and emigrated to the UK in her early 20s.
"Since arriving in the UK, Rowley Regis has always been her home and her family will miss her dearly."
Darren Pritchard, 44, from Merrivale Road, Smethwick, will appear before Dudley magistrates tomorrow.

The dogs have already been destroyed.
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman added that Lucille’s family have been informed of the latest development.
