A woman has revealed how to find recently deleted messages on iPhones - which could be all you need to catch a nasty cheater in a relationship.

The tech savvy trickster, who goes by the username @pettywhite on TikTok, shared her findings in a clip which has now gained over 860,000 likes.

So, if you needed proof to find that your partner has been up to no good, this could give you all you need to catch them red-handed. But some have warned others about the dangers of a hack like this.

All it takes to get there is a few simple steps within the messaging app on the device, making it simple enough even for tech novices.

In the clip, the woman talks through her findings, as she sarcastically explains: "I'm just saying, it would really suck if you had an iPhone, and you clicked on your messages and then in the top left corner, clicked on edit and then clicked show recently deleted.

"And it pulled up all of your deleted text messages. That would really suck."

In response, many showed huge support for the hack but some were left warning others not to try it for themselves after finding things on a partner's phone they did not want to find.

One person warned: "Don't do it. You will find what you are looking for."

While somebody replied to this person: "I'm going to do it."

A third person penned: "This is how I found out I got cheated on."

Others showed support for the hack and said they had never heard of this before so were interested to try it out for themselves.

"Everyday I learn something new about my phone," somebody stated.

Another added: "Well you just saved a whole bunch of space on my phone. I never knew this."
