Scottie Scheffler’s Masters Champions’ Dinner menu has been unveiled after the American won his first Green Jacket last year.

Twelve months on and he will aim to defend his crown as the sport’s top-ranked player. But before Scheffler and the rest of the field do battle at the Augusta National Golf Course next month, they will sample food from the five-course menu created by the 26-year-old.

When questioned about his food choices in previous interviews over the last several months, Scheffler remained tight-lipped, stating that it wasn't quite complete yet. But the Masters official twitter account uploaded the menu yesterday evening and, staying true to his Texan upbringing, the the world no. 1 opted for a traditional Southern-style banquet which will be sure to have attendees licking their lips.

To kick things off, Scheffler chose appetisers one of which has his ‘Scottie-Style’ spin on cheeseburger sliders, along with firecracker shrimp with sweet Thai chilli and sriracha mayo. The esteemed guests will then be able to enjoy Tortilla Soup with avocado, crispy blue tortilla strips, sour cream, coriander and lime as the first course.

For the main event, those in attendance will be able to choose from the popular Texas Ribeye Steak or the Blackened Redfish, with enticing sides of 'family-style' mac and cheese, jalapeno creamed corn, fried brussels sprouts and seasoned fries (chips). As if that wasn’t enough, Scheffler rounded things off with a classic all-American choice of a warm chocolate chip skillet cookie for dessert, served with milk and cookies-flavoured ice cream.

Scheffler is one of the favourites to take the Masters title once again following his impressive form this season. He cemented his status as the world no. 1 by winning his second title of the year at the Players Championship.

The golf star secured the trophy by a comfortable five shots ahead of runner-up Tyrrell Hatton in front of his grandmother Mary, who walked to every hole as she cheered him on all the way through the event.

During his victory speech, Scheffler was in tears as he thanked his family for supporting him throughout the journey and reserved special praise for his grandmother. "Grandma lives about 20 minutes up the road. She turns 88 in about a week-and-a-half," Scheffler said in his victory speech.

"All 72 holes she walked. Even the ones from yesterday. I am so happy to have my family here." Scheffler was delighted to secure the win which saw him become just the third player to hold the Players and Masters titles at the same time, emulating Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus.

"I did a really good job of staying patient and not trying to force things [early on] and then I got hot in the middle of the round and tried to put things away," said the Texan.

"The final stretch is tough, especially with how windy it was getting. The shots on 17 were challenging and I made a great par on 18. I'm relieved and tired."
