Lewis Capaldi has revealed he's hit "extremely low points" after finding fame but has decided to put his experiences into a song.
The Scottish hitmaker is preparing to share aspects of his life in a Netflix documentary titled How I'm Feeling Now and hopes that viewers will be able to connect with it.
Lewis, 26, recently confirmed that the trailer for his documentary will be released in the coming days with a new and unreleased song featuring the same name also being released.
The star has now taken to social media to share an update with his millions of fans on his current mental health state and also confirm the news of his new single.

"I think because I seem quite open about a lot of things whether it be in interviews, on stage or on social media people assume they know a lot about me and my life but in actual fact, I tend to keep a lot of things to myself as a matter of preference. I feel like there's a lot of things in it I haven't spoken about before and in truth the whole film became way more intimate than I'd ever imagined so it feels like a particularly vulnerable position to be in."
Lewis went on to add: "Obviously I completely recognise how lucky I am to have the life I do and I know there are people in much worse positions than I am out there but as much as the last 5 years have been the best of my life, I would be lying if I said it hasn't all taken its toll mentally and honestly, there have been some extremely low points and that's what this song is about.
"I know the last few years have been and continue to be difficult for everyone so hopefully you relate to the tune in some way, and it might be nice to hear there's someone else in a similar boat as you, I know it would for me."

Fans and friends instantly flocked to the comment section to gush over the musician who has spoken candidly about his battle with Tourettes.
YouTube star Lewis Buchan commented: "Proud of u king [sic]."
Meanwhile, Lewis' vocal coach Yvie Burnett added: "One of nicest people I know (when you aren’t talking about [poo emoji]). Excited to watch tomorrow. Love you lots."
"So excited for the doc and the tune to be out," typed Rory Barnes.
Several of Lewis' fans added their thoughts too with one writing: "Respect to you making this, I'm sure it will help other people."
"Thank you so so much for releasing How I'm Feeling Now, it's literally my new fav since the tour, couldn't stop crying because it's SO relatable," typed a second.
