Love Island's 'least compatible couple' Olivia and Maxwell share romance update

Love Island lovebirds Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda’s relationship has gone from strength to strength since leaving the villa.

The couple, who paired up after Maxwell entered Casa Amor, were dumped from the show at the start of February, after being voted the ‘least compatible couple’ by viewers.

But it seems like they’re on track to prove their doubters wrong after revealing plans for a romantic holiday - and that they’ve started to meet each other’s families.

Speaking to the The Sun at the John Wick 4 premiere, 27-year-old Olivia said: "We are planning a holiday together. Somewhere romantic would be nice. When we flew back from the villa, we stopped over in Amsterdam, and thought, it would be nice to have a little holiday together. Just the two of us."

Maxwell, 23, added: "We've been together pretty much since we left the villa, which has been great. We even went to Brighton to see family. So it would be nice to go away on a little romantic trip."

The couple also reflected on how the dynamics of the villa have changed since they were booted out - and that there could be more drama when the reunion show is filmed at the end of the series.

Olivia said: “Yes, I did bring the fireworks. It's so funny people are saying the show is quieter now I've left.”

In a prior interview with the publication, she explained that she wasn’t a “villain”, and that there was a lot of unseen, and often teary, drama in the South African compound where the summer show is filmed.

She said: “I had many times when I was in tears that wasn’t shown on TV. There were real emotions.

“Maybe it was a case of big personalities clashing, it was so intense and arguments are inevitable when we were in a confined space together 24 hours a day.

“But it was definitely not a case of toxic femininity. When people meet me they will see the real me, I’m definitely not a villain."
