Murder probe launched after man, 29, fatally stabbed in nightclub
A murder probe is underway in Walsall after a "tragic and shocking" fatal stabbing in a nightclub.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Valesha's nightclub, also as the 'Coliseum' by locals, after 5am his morning.
The man, named locally as 29-year-old 'Keemz', was taken to hospital but sadly died around 6am and his family has been informed.
Detective Inspector Ade George said: "The events this morning are tragic and shocking, a man has sadly lost his life and we'll be offering as much support as we can to his family during this deeply distressing time. Our priority is catching those responsible.
"While we’ve spoken to a number of people who were inside the club at the time, we still need to hear from anyone who was there and who saw, or may have filmed, what happened.

It was put in place from 8pm this evening until 7am tomorrow.
Police said: "This gives us the ability to stop and search people without the need for the usual grounds, when we feel there is a risk of violence, to help keep the town safe. "
One anonymous witness told Birmingham Live that there were people "screaming" and "crying" near when the stricken man was lying inside the club.
They said: "There was a scuffle or fight in the club. I've gone out the front and the guy has got blood on his face. The guy was lying in the doorway.
"An argument started between a couple of people. The next minute there was a bit of a scuffle. The bouncers were on it. It looked like they were fighting."
A man known locally as 'Keemz' sadly died (BPM Media)"They continued: "Lots of people were everywhere, near the cloakroom where the guy was lying on the floor. There was shouting, screaming, crying. I saw blood. Then the paramedics arrived."
In a moving tribute, friend Morgan Williams said Keemz was a "respectful" man who made her laugh.
She told the Mirror: "I first met seems when I was working at a house of silk event in Birmingham. I recently moved to the area and literally knew no one.
"His approach was so respectful and we laughed the whole night. Literally became the best of friends from there."

Morgan said the awful news "tore me apart."
She added: "This is someone I thought would be in my life forever. We spoke a week ago about me going to university in Coventry so getting to be around more often.
"He was the funniest smartest boy I ever came around across and he never deserved this."
Friends on Facebook also paid tribute to Keemz.
One said: "Rest easy Keemz can't believe it just last week I saw you king. Thoughts are with your famo king."
Upset, club owner Valesha Anderson lamented: "I wanted to make it a fun place for people to have a drink and celebrate with friends and now this has happened. It's a shame for it to be ruined."
West Midlands Police said: "We’ve launched a murder investigation after a man was fatally stabbed at a Walsall nightclub.
"We were called to Valesha's nightclub, also known locally as Colliseum, on Newport Street in the town centre just after 5am this morning (11 March) to reports that a 29-year-old had been stabbed.
Police said there was a "scuffle" leading up to the incident and detectives are now viewing CCTV.
The force has asked people to come forward with information as "People who were in the club at the time might not have realised what’s happened."
