LETTERS: 'Camilla has been the making of Charles - she's definitely the Queen'

Let’s hope the rumours the King’s wife Camilla will eventually be allowed to drop Consort from her title are correct (Mirror, February 27).

In my view it’s old fashioned and rather silly.

Camilla is most certainly the Queen, as in King and Queen just as the Queen Mother was technically Queen Consort to George VI but was never referred to as such.

The word Consort is outdated and a bit pointless.

Camilla has been the making of Charles since they married and it’s time the problems of the past were wiped from the slate.

Charles and Camilla have clearly been genuinely in love for years, you only have to look at photographs of the couple at various functions to recognise that.

God save the Queen!
