Manchester United's stars have already landed five-figure bonuses for winning the Carabao Cup, but the payout will only grow if Erik ten Hag's team secure an unprecedented quadruple.

While the Red Devils have a lot of work to do in the other cup competitions - not to mention the Premier League - they are still alive in all of them. Victory over West Ham on Wednesday night sent Ten Hag's men into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, while Real Betis await in the last 16 of the Europa League.

A Premier League title is less likely, with Arsenal's midweek victory over Everton opening up an 11-point gap to third-place United (who do have a game in hand). However, with a quadruple potentially earning star players close to half a million pounds in bonuses, Mirror Football has taken a look at how this compares to other hefty bonus payouts.

According to The Mail, United's players will pocket £65,000 each thanks to the first cup win. Goals from Casemiro and Marcus Rashford gave the 2017 winners another League Cup title and a first major trophy since the 2017 Europa League.

If United win the FA Cup or Europa League, another £85,000 would be added to that tally, while a Premier League title would be worth £250,000. That means a whopping £485,000 for a quadruple.

Had Newcastle won at Wembley, a £1m bonus would have been shared amongst the squad. Based on a 25-man group, that would amount to £40,000 each on average, though it averages out at more per player if limited to those involved in the final.

United are the second Premier League team in as many years to enter March with quadruple dreams still alive. Liverpool were in a similar position last term, having beaten Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final, but only added the FA Cup before falling painfully short in the league and Champions League.

Had Chelsea denied the Reds in the FA Cup, they would have split £1m between them. As for Jurgen Klopp's Reds, reports ahead of their 2018 Champions League final provide some indication of what victory in that competition can be worth to players.

As Liverpool and Real Madrid prepared to face off in Kyiv, it was claimed each Reds player would land £200,000 with a win. However, that was nothing compared to the £2m per player said to be on the cards for the Spanish giants.

While a Europa League win might not quite be on the same level as Champions League success, United's play-off victory over Barcelona leaves them very much in the mix for glory. It won't be straightforward, with upcoming opponents Betis sitting just outside the top four in Spain, while Premier League leaders Arsenal and Serie A giants Juventus among the other sides with hopes of reaching the final at the Puskas Arena in Budapest.
